Elden Ring Player Defeats Malenia in Two Hits

An Elden Ring player defeats Malenia in just two hits, with the fan needing only one strike for each phase. There are many difficult boss fights in Elden Ring, but Malenia is probably the hardest boss in the game. Since its release, Elden Ring players have challenged Malenia 329 million times, with other bosses like Margit and the Tree Sentinel in Limgrave sitting at 281 million and 277 million respectively.

Despite the difficulty of the fight, many Elden Ring players have figured out clever strategies for beating Malenia. Some gamers have finished her off at level one, while a few Elden Ring users have beaten Malenia in just a few seconds. Now, another Elden Ring fan shares a clip of how they defeated Malenia in just two hits, one for each phase.

A Reddit user named RS_Lionheart has shared a video of their battle against Malenia in Elden Ring, showing that they managed to beat this boss in just one hit for each phase. A majority of the video features the player applying various buffs, as these bonuses appear to be an essential part of the strategy. After buffing themselves, the user finally attacks Malenia a bit over the 1-minute mark, depleting all of her health in just a single attack.

The second phase is much shorter, as RS_Lionheart only uses one weapon skill before attacking Malenia, taking her out before she can land a single hit. RS_Lionheart mentions that they utilized the Zweihander in Elden Ring for the purpose of the video, although it appears to be a small part of a much larger strategy.

Many users in the comments section appear impressed with the video, with several players asking RS_Lionheart for more details on the items and buffs used. It looks like some buffs in Elden Ring can stack, allowing players to gain a ton of additional damage that can be used to take out enemies like Malenia in just a few hits.

Gamers should note that FromSoftware has released several updates for Elden Ring that have noticeably changed the balance of the game. Some of these updates apply buffs and nerfs to the various weapons available in Elden Ring, with the same being true for many of its bosses. So, some tactics that can easily destroy Malenia may not have worked that well in the past, and it’ll be interesting to see if they continue to be as effective in the future.

Elden Ring is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
