Eminem keeps his private life super private, especially when it comes to his daughter, who he’s almost never seen with publicly. But Hailie Jade joined her dad during his Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction this week, sitting by his side at a table in the audience.
Billboard reported that Eminem was inducted into the Hall of Fame by Dr. Dre, and he then performed several of his hits including “My Name Is.” After his set, Eminem gave a lengthy speech saying (via Page Six), “I realize what an honor it is right now to be here up here tonight, and what a privilege it is to do the music that I love. Music basically saved my life…I’ll keep this as painless as possible. I’m fucking stuttering and shit. I’m probably not supposed to actually be here tonight because of a couple of reasons.”

“I almost died from an overdose in 2007, which kind of sucked,” he said, joking, “Hailie, plug your ears.” He went on to say, “I thought we had a good thing going on, but I had to go and fuck it all up. Goddamn.”
Eminem concluded his speech with, “Finally, I had to really fight my way through man to try and break through in this music, and I’m so honored and I’m so grateful that I’m even able to be up here doing hip-hip music, man, because I love it so much.”
