An Overwatch 2 clip demonstrated what can go wrong when trying to bully an opponent off of a ledge with a move straight out of Super Mario. Sometimes an opportunity to make a great move can present itself to gamers in the middle of a match. Players can make impressive plays in games like Overwatch 2 that are incredibly entertaining for others to watch.
However, sometimes things will not go as planned. Gamers will try to make a maneuver that would be advantageous for their team, only for it to go very wrong. An Overwatch 2 player learned this the hard way while attempting to take out an enemy by pushing them off of a ledge.
A Reddit user named Error0360 posted a clip that shows an Overwatch 2 player using Orisa try to push another gamer off of a ledge. In the video, the Orisa pushes a Reinhardt to an edge, forcing them to deploy their shield. As Orisa is about to push Reinhardt to their death, the latter player jumps into the air. This leads to Reinhardt bouncing off of Orisa’s head, who then plummets to their death. The play is a great example that shows how fast the tides can turn in a game like Overwatch 2 and how expectations can be easily shattered.
Error0360’s clip has grabbed the attention of some Overwatch 2 fans who have gotten the video to over 1,000 upvotes. One commenter stated that the Orisa was tricked by their own game, while another said that this is what happens when a player does not watch their own feet while trying to push someone off of a ledge. Another user stated that Reinhardt was made for Super Smash Bros. after seeing the play that Error0360 posted. The video shows that plans can seem to be going right and then quickly turn, leading to a player’s death.
Fast-paced games such as Overwatch 2 are filled with great moments that can be enjoyed by anyone who plays them. Things can seem to be going according to plan, only for a split-second action to completely turn the tides. It is a great reason for players to always stay on their feet as they never know when something may happen that can hamper their move. Fast moving games show that even one second can be a long time, as that is all it takes for the tides of the game to turn. It helps provide a nice rush as players constantly use quick wits in order to keep the game in their favor.
Overwatch 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
